First off I would like to say I am in no way knocking other training facilities or training methods, this is just my opinion on the training we had today. We conducted our annual live fires today. For the first time we brought the training here to our airport. We had ARFF Specialists from the Duluth MN area come to town. Its headed by Wade Boyat and Jerry Huberty. Alot of you may know Wade from LSU if you have conducted fires in Duluth. We had the best training we have ever had. The classroom instruction was top notch. Before hand I went over with Wade what we wanted to cover, Wade builds his program around what your needs are. He is very flexible with the training. It was great getting to use our own equipment and that made the biggest difference in training. It was also great to conduct this level of training with our whole department instead of just sending anywhere from 1 to 3 guys for fires elsewhere. I only wished we could have had a couple more days to train. ARFF Specialist is also very cost effective. If you want to know more on the training we did or want contact info for Wade PLEASE let me know, you will not be disappointed in the training you receive, I PROMISE! :fire1::fire2:

I miss our trips to Duluth for training with Wade, one heck of an instructor. Lately though our training has been of the mobile kind, from the University of MO. Still good, but nothing compared to a week with Wade in Duluth, and the “madman” behind the controls of their mockup. It is scary how much fun he has running the fire.

Hey David, Mobile Trainer is what he has now. He has been running it for his second year now. All you have to do is give him a call and he can see what he can do for you. It was the best training.
