Brian Goodwin – NC North Carolina
Brian has 30 years of experience in the fire service industry. He spent the last 28 years at RDU International Airport and has served as Deputy Fire Chief since July 2013. . In addition, he serves as the operations chief and is responsible for writing and editing the policies and procedures for the department, station quartermaster and personal protective equipment. He also oversees ladder testing, SCBA maintenance and repair, fit testing, fire extinguisher inspection and repair, pre-plans and serves on the apparatus committee.
Brian is actively pursuing his Airport Master Firefighter certification through the American Association of Airport Executives. . He serves on the PPE committee for Wake County and stays active in the fire service by working for several fire departments in Wake County as a part time employee on his days off from RDU. Brian is excited about his opportunity to serve as the ARFF representative from North Carolina in section 3.
