CAMAS, Wash. — A man died in a small plane crash Wednesday afternoon at Grove Field airport just north of Camas. Another man was injured and taken to a hospital. His condition is unknown, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities responded to the crash shortly after 3 p.m. According to bystander photos and multiple reports, the plane crashed into a hangar at the airport.
The cause of the crash has not been released, and no names have been released.
A witness said prior to the crash, the pilot was doing touch-and-go landings, where the plane lands then quickly takes off again without stopping.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration plan to conduct an investigation Thursday morning, the sheriff’s office said.
