PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Two people were injured Friday after an aircraft fire at North County Airport, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.
The fire happened at 5:23 p.m.
Firefighters could see a visible column of smoke when they got to the airport and according to Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue, the pilot smelled smoke shortly after take off.
Firefighters with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Palm Beach Gardens Fire quickly got the fire under control and extinguished it, according to fire officials. The two people who were injured were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
