A plane from the Quebec Aeronautical Training Center (CQFA) of the Cégep de Chicoutimi went off the runway on Friday morning in Saint-Honoré. The two people on board the craft did not suffer serious injuries.

“Fortunately, the two passengers on board the aircraft are safe and sound. They were taken care of by the emergency services, ”confirms the Cégep de Chicoutimi, in a press release.

The carcass of the machine was visible near the airstrip. The plane’s nose was damaged enough for the aircraft to be a total loss, according to information obtained by The Daily .

The CQFA team has launched an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.

Also, “a communication was sent to students and staff of the CQFA to invite them to contact the psychosocial team of the college, if necessary. Other people affected by the incident will also be taken care of”.

The Ministry of Transport was also dispatched to the scene.
