The Fire Safety Services (SSI) of Adstock and East-Broughton were called this Friday afternoon for a helicopter crash in Adstock.

Around 3:00 p.m. on Friday, the Adstock SSI was asked at Lac du Huit for a helicopter that had ended its flight in the water. The SSI moved in plane crash and nautical rescue protocol. He was also joined by the East-Broughton SSI in off-road rescue protocol.

The helicopter carrying a man and his daughter crashed into the water while on approach to land. A problem with the aircraft during its descent would have led to its fall into the lake.

Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec from the Thetford Mines station as well as an ambulance from the Cambi group also went to the scene. The state of health of the two passengers did not require transport to the hospital.

In addition, the Transport Safety Board and Urgence Environnement have been informed of the situation, in the event of a possible spill of liquid from the aircraft into the lake. The Adstock SSI has also set up a prevention procedure by installing socks for the recovery of hydrocarbons.
