BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — An agricultural biplane crash landed at the Oroville Airport on Thursday afternoon due to damaged landing gear, Cal Fire officials in Butte County said.
Officials confirmed there was no fire, nor injuries, associated with the crash. Cal Fire’s Butte Unit said they were at the scene with Airport Rescue 92 in case there was a need, however, the plane—which appears to be a Grumman G-164 Ag Cat crop duster—landed safely.
By 1 p.m. on Thursday, Cal Fire said their resources had left the scene, however, one runway is closed as the plane is still there.
