POINSETT COUNTY, Ark. — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating after a crop duster plane crashes at an intersection.

The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call stating that a crop duster plane had gone down at the corner of Airport Road and Silver Maple Lane near Waldenburg just after 7:30 a.m. on May 27.

Weiner first responders and Medic One were called to the scene. The pilot was taken to a hospital, a release said.

The FAA was notified and will be investigating.

The sheriff’s office said they will release more information when it becomes available.
