VINE GROVE, Ky. — Around 8,000 people in the Vine Grove and Radcliff areas are without power after a single-engine piston aircraft hit a power line near the Vine Grove Airport (70KY).
Hardin County Emergency Management said a plane hit the power line at around 2:30 p.m., crashing in a field near North Middle School.
There were two people inside the plane. One person was not injured, another had minor injuries.
In a Facebook post, the Vine Grove Police Department said “The aircraft hit a transmission line and there are estimates of approximately 8000 without service” in the Vine Grove and Radcliff area due to the crash.
The FAA and NTSB will investigate the crash.
