We want to make you aware of the website:

The site is focused on active male firefighters aged 40 and above… to help you and your family understand one of the most prominent “firefighter” cancers: Prostate cancer. The non-profit, non-commercial site includes prostate cancer prevention information, how to get checked, and what to do if diagnosed. It’s short, sweet, to the point – written for and by firefighters. was created because there are too many sick or dead firefighters who just didn’t understand prostate cancer, didn’t know it could be symptom-free, and just avoided getting checked. This “firefighter friendly” site is no bs, in plain English, explaining why firefighters aged 40 and above must get checked. The lack of understanding about prostate cancer is big, and this will help. has very easy to access and information such as a simple one-page document for you to hand to your physician (created by Boston FD Physician and former BFD Firefighter Dr. Mike Hamrock-for doctors to know what you do as a firefighter), numerous prostate cancer resources, links, videos… and you can even request FREE helmet stickers.

Please take a look and share it and be sure to check out the information, see who and what fire service organizations are involved in the site, download the documents, please share and pass it on….and also request a bunch of stickers.

Sticker Note: The maltese cross sticker features a hoseline with a coupling (your prostate) and your nozzle. A real conversation starter.

Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
