SWAN LAKE — Multiple fire departments, medical and law enforcement agencies responded to a wooded area off Stanton Corner Road in Swan Lake this morning following reports of a helicopter crash.
Preliminary details indicate that a utility helicopter inspecting power lines went down with two people onboard. Those two individuals were flown to Westchester Medical Center in serious condition. Other outlets are reporting that the two occupants were conscious and alert.
The Swan Lake Fire Department was among the first on the scene shortly after 9 a.m. The White Lake Fire Company and the Kauneonga Lake Fire Department assisted with UTVs in order to reach the remote crash site and transport the injured to a place where two medevac helicopters were standing by.
