HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (FOX19) – A small plane crashed in Highland County Tuesday night, hospitalizing the pilot, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The small airplane crashed off Ohio 28 near Halley Road at the boundary line of Highland County and Ross County, they said.

The plane is stuck in a tree, injuring the pilot but he is expected to recover, patrol dispatchers say.

He was taken to a hospital in Ross County.

An investigation into the plane crash is ongoing.
