I’m proud and honored to announce your new Section 14 Director, Master Gunnery Sergeant Juan R. Espinosa, US Marine Corps.

Section 14 includes “Active” military from all branches of the military.

MGySgt Espinosa will be replacing our current Section 14 Director, Racheal Benezette, Chief Warrant Officer 3, Fire Chief/ARFF Officer in Charge, Marine Corps Air Station New River, NC who is retiring on June 5, 2020. We want to thank Racheal for her dedication and passion to the ARFF Working Group and her support as a Member, Board of Director and Treasurer. We wish her the best.

Juan R. Espinosa, a native of Dallas, Texas, is a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the US Marine Corps serving at the Pentagon as the Deputy Director of Aviation & Expeditionary Firefighting & Rescue Chief for Installations & Logistics. His primary military occupational specialty is Expeditionary Firefighting & Rescue (7051) and has served in numerous billets, stations and squadrons as an ARFF marine. He has served in protection for American embassies around the world, including Yemen, Damascus, Syria, Bahrain, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom with the Department of State and as an instructor at the Marine Security Guard School in Quantico, Virginia. He also served as a congressional defense fellow for Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) managing foreign relations, veteran and emerging threats policy. He has completed multiple combat tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
