UPDATE at 12:20 p.m. CST on Feb. 8: Neither the pilot nor the passenger of a Cirrus Vision Jet were injured on Wednesday morning when they crashed into a field at the Waukesha County Airport at 9:57 a.m. CST on Feb. 8.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, both of the occupants managed to escape from plane without any issues. All airport operations have resumed without any hiccups as the Sheriff’s Office and Airport officials cooperate with the FAA and NTSB, which will determine an official cause at a later date.
WAUKESHA, Wis. — First responders rushed to the Waukesha County Airport on Wednesday morning for reports of a plane that crash-landed — though airport officials could only confirm that they are looking into an “incident.”
