CHICAGO (WLS) — One person was critically injured in a shuttle bus crashed at O’Hare Airport Friday morning, the Chicago Fire Department said.

The crash occurred on a ramp to Terminal 5 at the airport at about 2:30 a.m. The bus appeared to crash into a median, with the bus having heavy damage to its front.

CFD responded to the scene and found the driver, a man in his 80, who was ejected from the crash. He was transported to Lutheran General Hospital in critical condition, CFD said.

Several lanes were closed at the terminal, which remained accessible for travelers. The crash involved an airport shuttle bus and is not impacting CTA service.
