One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a small plane crash-landed in a field in Collingwood.

Emergency services were called out to a field off Raglan Street, south of Georgian College, about 20 minutes before 6 p.m. on April 23, after reports of the plane landing in the field and ending up on its roof.

Collingwood OPP say the lone occupant of the plane suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital by County of Simcoe paramedics.

According to police, the pilot was attempting an emergency landing.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada, which investigates incidents involving air and rail modes of transportation, has been notified.
