A plane from Rodez carrying 39 passengers left the runway this Thursday at Orly airport.

A Fly Amelia plane overran Paris Orly airport on Thursday evening, BFM Paris-Île-de-France learned. None of the 39 passengers and three crew members who were on board the aircraft from Rodez (Aveyron) were injured.

The incident happened in the early evening, shortly after 7:30 p.m. One of the tracks has been closed.

“More fear than harm”

Among the passengers was Caroline Cayeux, Minister Delegate in charge of Local Authorities.

This accident could be explained by the unfavorable weather conditions affecting Île-de-France this evening. Several flights are diverted to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport.

The agents of the office of investigations and analyzes for the safety of civil aviation are on site.
