CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A pilot is now in the hospital after crashing a plane at the Brandywine Regional Airport Wednesday morning.
According to emergency dispatch, the incident happened around 8:50 a.m. after the pilot tried to take off, leaving the runway.
Officials say the small aircraft then crashed into a ditch, causing facial lacerations to the pilot.
The individual was later transported to a local hospital and their injuries are expected to be only minor.
It is unclear at this time how the crash occurred.
