HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Emergency crews responded to a plane crash at Perry-Houston County Airport on Tuesday.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, as a pilot was landing his single-engine Beechcraft C35, he lost control of the aircraft.

The pilot landed his plane on the runway, and his aircraft hit a stationary plane, a Cessna 172.

The accident happened at about 3:20 p.m.

The FAA said the Beechcraft pilot was the only person aboard either plane.

The Beechcraft belongs to an owner out of Holt, Florida. The Cessna’s owner is based in Perry.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating; the NTSB will head the investigation.

No injuries have been reported.
