A small airplane crashed Friday along Interstate 80, but the pilot escaped without injury, the Wyoming Highway Patrol reported.

The plane crashed at about 2:40 p.m. east of Laramie. The woman flying the plane was the aircraft’s lone occupant.

The plane was flying from British Columbia to Florida, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

An investigation into the crash will be conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration.
