CLARE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — One person is dead after a plane crash in Clare County.
First responders were called to a single-engine plane crash in the area of Rosina Road and Townline Road around 9:30 a.m. Friday.
When they arrived on the scene, a 67-year-old downstate man was found dead.
The pilot has been identified as Theodore Gauthier of Pontiac.
According to investigators, the victim was the only person in the plane at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
