WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. —
A plane has gone off the runway at Allegheny County Airport on Monday afternoon.
County dispatch confirms first responders were sent to the airport. Sky 4 with Action Cam saw the small plane had gone over a hillside.
A release from airport public affairs manager Matt Neistein said that the plane went off the main runway around 3:25 p.m. The female pilot was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The airport is open for limited aircraft operations at this time, Neistein said. Customers should check with airport-based businesses for their operational status.
The plane is part of the airport’s flight school. A search on the FAA’s plane registry said the plane was owned by ATP TAA LLC out of Wilmington, Delaware.
