OSCEOLA COUNTY, MI – The pilot of a small plane used US-10 as an emergency landing strip after having technical problems, sheriff’s deputies said.
The plane landed safely Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 29, on the highway in Osceola County’s Hersey Township.
The two men aboard the plane were unhurt.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, Osceola County sheriff’s deputies said.
While rescuers stopped highway traffic, others helped move the plane to the Osceola County Road Commission’s gravel pit on 135th Avenue, sheriff’s deputies said.
