HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A runway at Honolulu airport is closed after a Transair plane made an emergency landing Friday morning after it experiences issues with its gear.
The Federal Aviation Administration said a TransAir Short 360 commuter plane landed with its gear up at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport around 4:12 a.m.
Officials said there were to people on board the aircraft. No injuries were reported.
The plane is currently sitting on Runway 4, closing that area until further notice.
There has been no word yet on how this runway closure will impact flights coming into or going out of the airport.
The FAA said the incident is under investigation.
