DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. — The Federal Aviation Administration reports the single-engine Ayres Turbo Thrush SS2T was performing crop-dusting operations before it crashed down.

It crashed shortly after takeoff from a grass strip near Vienna around noon, according to the FAA.

Only the pilot was on board and the Vienna Fire Department reports they lived.

The FAA will investigate and the National Transportation Safety Board will determine the cause of the accident.

The plane is registered to Hat Creek Aviation LLC according to the plane’s FAA registration number.
