A small aircraft made an emergency landing at Bryden Canyon Golf Course late Saturday morning adjacent to the airfield at the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport. 

The incident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. after the single engine Cessna 172 carrying two passengers lost power. According to a press release, the aircraft hit a tree with the wing tip and landed without any further incident or injury. No other damages were reported during the crash. 

Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department and LWS Airport Fire Department responded to the scene. The incident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transport Safety Board.
