MILTON, Fla. — A single-engine aircraft crashed at the end of the runway at Peter Prince Field airport in Milton Monday afternoon.
It happened around 2:34 p.m. at the airport located at 5550 N Airport Rd. in Milton.
According to Santa Rosa County, the pilot — a male in his 40s — was conscious, alert and assessed by EMS following the crash. He is being transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
No one else was on the plane.
The extent of damage to the plane isn’t known at this time.
No further details have been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
