A small plane accident happened about 2:30 pm. Friday at Toledo Suburban Airport, 4383 Section Road, Ottawa Lake.
Whiteford Township Fire Department reported that their chief found the pilot out of the plane and the plane upright upon arrival. “The plane had performed a gear up landing and came to rest on the runway,” the department posted on Facebook.
Whiteford also was handling a car fire on US-23 at that time; so Bedford and Ottawa Lake fire departments assisted at the airport.
