Pilot, passenger not hurt

WAUKESHA, Wis. —

A small plane crashed Thursday afternoon at the Waukesha County Airport.

The right landing gear on a Beechcraft Duchess airplane collapsed when landing on runway 28, and the aircraft skidded off the north side of the runway, according to airport manager Kurt Stanich.

It happened at 2:14 p.m.

The pilot and one passenger on board were not hurt, Stanich said.

The airport said a runway, 10/28, was closed Thursday, but the airport is open.

The NTSB will determine the official cause of the incident at a later date.
