LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a report of a small plane crash Thursday night in a harvested cornfield east of Lincoln.

First responders were called to the scene near 112th and Havelock around 8:15 p.m.

Details are limited, but according to the sheriff’s office, there were no injuries. The small private plane had two occupants, and its parachute was deployed prior to the crash.

LSO could not give any details on what caused the crash, which will be investigated by the FAA.

Agencies who responded to the scene include LSO, Southeast and Waverly Volunteer Fire Department, Lincoln Fire & Rescue and The Nebraska State Patrol.
