A small plane with registration HK-4686 crashed near the Guaymaral airport north of Bogotá. Four people died.

The civil aircraft Piper Navajo type registration plate HK-4686G collapsed on the ground in the vicinity of runway 11 with five people on board, who lost their lives.

According to Captain Álvaro Farfán, departmental delegate of Firefighters of Cundinamarca, the confirmation of the accident was already made with those in charge of the airport control tower. Another incident was also reported where, fortunately, the crew left unharmed.

According to the information provided by the Civil Aeronautics, the plane was operated by Aerotaxi Guaymaral. “The plane had taken off minutes before the Guaymaral airport to the city of Villagarzón, Putumayo,” reads the statement shared by the entity.

The Civil Aeronautics activated the protocols of attention to accidents, with the presence of a research group to begin the collection of evidence, leading to preliminary determination of the possible causes of the accident.

At the moment the identity of the four people who died in the accident have not been revealed.
