One crewmember died and the pilot was transferred to a medical center.

The Volunteer Firemen reported this Sunday, a plane crash near the Los Volcanes road course, located in Escuintla.

An aircraft that participated in an aerial acrobatics show crashed on National Route 14 (RN-14). Personnel of the Civil Aeronautics Aircraft Accident Investigation Unit is in place to determine the causes of the incident.

Authorities reported that aviation mechanic Pablo Guillén died. While Rodrigo Ibargüen, pilot of the plane, was injured and was transferred by lifeguards to the National Hospital of Escuintla.

Ibargüen was involved in air accidents in previous years. Civil Aeronautics suspended the Guatemalan license, however, he had an authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States.
