Finnair’s flight AY831 departing for Stockholm turned back to the terminal, where the passengers of the ATR 72-500 were evacuated to the apron from the early evening on 31 March. Five airport rescue units arrived at the scene.
Passengers on flight AY831 operated by Norway to Finnair were evacuated to the apron of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport on Wednesday evening, 31 March. The Norwegian ATR 72-500 (OH-ATH) had an estimated twenty passengers.
The reason for the evacuation is not yet known.
The original departure time for flight AY831 was 16.25. After the change of aircraft, flight AY831 departed at 18.05. The completed flight was Norway’s second ATR 72-500 aircraft unit (OH-ATP).
