Two people died in an air accident near Piotrków Trybunalski (Łódź Province). – Witnesses informed us that the skyvan plane has fallen. It was the plane from which the jumpers jumped – Izabela Gajewska from the police in Piotrków Trybunalski reported. The State Commission for Aircraft Accident Investigation was notified.
The incident took place on Saturday at 2:18 PM in the village of Glina in the municipality of Wola Krzysztofoporska. The information about the accident was confirmed by Izabela Gajewska from the police in Piotrków Trybunalski. – Witnesses who saw the incident informed us that the skyvan plane had crashed. Two people died on the spot as a result of their injuries. There were 20 parachute jumpers on board after take-off, who had previously jumped out and landed safely.
Air Accident Investigation Commission notified
As Izabela Gajewska from the police in Piotrków Trybunalski reported, the State Commission for Aircraft Accident Investigation and the prosecutor’s office are informed about the accident. – On-site activities are ongoing. We will explain how this event happened – said the policewoman.
The plane crashed five kilometers from the airport. An experienced pilot was killed
– The plane crashed five kilometers before the airport after the jumpers jumped out during the landing approach operation – Marcin Pampuch, the deputy director of the Piotrków Land Aero Club, told us. He added that a very experienced professional pilot had died.
