We end this week with some very sad news…

Last night we heard the sad news of the passing of a true gentleman in the Fire Service, Chief Jim Anderson.

Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many in the fire service, including the ARFF Working Group.  Jim spent over 30 years in the fire service starting as a firefighter/EMT who climbed the ladder that included being a passionate instructor and published author (Jim was a regular contributor to the ARFF News magazine) before retiring as a Battalion Chief at McClellan Air Fore Base in Sacramento, California.

Our sincerest condolences to his wife Nicki, and to the whole Anderson family.

Jim was a kind hearted man who loved his profession, who loved to share his knowledge to make us all better and safer firefighters. He will be sorely missed, may he Rest in Peace!

I will forward information on any services as I receive it…

Here are the other stories to close the week…

Be safe and be healthy out there!
