Of note, a piece from Chief Goldfeder’s “The Secret List” identifying “tactical & operational training” for Chiefs. A pretty important topic to be included in our specialty, ARFF. Not good to have an aircraft emergency run by an IC who knows little to nothing about aircraft rescue and firefighting tactics!
Also, the 40th anniversary of Air Canada Flight 797, a McDonnell Douglas DC- 9-32 that made an emergency landing at Cincinnati following an inflight fire; killing 23 out of 46 occupants.
