Today is Veterans Day here in the United States, a federal holiday that coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day that are celebrated in other parts of the world to mark the anniversary of the end of World War I.

Veterans Day here in the United States is a day to celebrate and to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

I ask all of you to remember these words spoken by Abraham Lincoln; “Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause.”

To those who have served in our nation’s military, Thank You for your sacrifices to provide me with freedom and security!

And here are the ARFF stories for today…

Be safe out there!

Tom
