MILTON, Fla. — A training helicopter out of Whiting Field crashed in East Milton Thursday afternoon, injuring at least two people.

Santa Rosa County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to the East Milton Outlying Field off Highway 87 around 1:45 p.m.

The TH-57 Sea Ranger training helicopter crashed in a wooded area just west of the Santa Rosa Navy Outlying Field.

The two people injured in the crash have been transported to the hospital — one by air and one by ambulance.

A spokesperson for Whiting Field says they are working to gather more information.
