An ultralight plane crashed off Poplin Road in Union County on Saturday afternoon, and the pilot was taken to the hospital.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m.
Officials said the pilot was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The pilot’s condition has not been released.
And no details have been released about why the ultralight crashed although an investigation is underway.
