Mohegan Sun, created in 1996 by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut in partnership with Mohegan, is one of the world's most amazing destinations with some of New England's finest Mohegan Sun is home to , two luxurious spasworld-class meeting facilities,  three major entertainment venues dininghotel accommodations, retail shopping,. live entertainment and sporting events.


People from across the globe come to see live concerts with some of today's top headliners, along with major sporting events including Mohegan Sun's very own WNBA team, the Connecticut Sun.



HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Group room rates start on Sunday, September 21st and end on Thursday, September 25th.  Pre and post days are available at a higher rate deterrmined by the Mohegan Sun.  If you plan on staying pre or post conference, make your reservations EARLY!  The Hotel Room Rate is $214 per night +applicable taxes.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING

Notice of the annual meeting of the Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Working Group, Inc. is hereby given. The meeting will be held at the Mohegan Sun Resort, 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard, Uncasville, CT 06382 local time. The meeting is called for the purpose of receiving annual reports of the Officers and Directors, and to transact such business which comes before the ARFFWG.

 

The ARFF Working Group Annual Int’l Educational Symposium is the premier event for the aviation firefighting industry. We expect 60+ companies to exhibit at this year’s program.  This is the perfect opportunity to visit and shop for products and services that deal specifically with the aviation fire safety and protection industry. 

Your commitment to the ARFFWG helps to fund not only the Annual Symposium, but other educational programs promoted and supported by the ARFFWG throughout the year. The basic registration for the 2025 symposium is $825 (early) member rate, and includes full attendance rights to all ARFFWG activities. On-site registration will take place on Monday, September 22nd at the Mohegan Sun Sky Convention Center outside  Salon BCD at 2:00 pm through 7:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, September 23rd from 7:30 A.M. through 2:00 P.M. , same location.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATIONS

The ARFFWG Board of Directors consists of fifteen (15) Directors who carry out the management functions of the ARFFWG. Of the fifteen (15) Directors, five (5) Executive Board Officers are chosen who are delegated to run the day-to-day administration. Each odd year, odd number section Director positions are open and must be filled. Each even year, even number section Director positions are open and must be filled. All Board of Director positions serve a two (2) year term and may be elected to three (3) consecutive terms, totaling six (6) years. Becoming a director is an excellent opportunity to be directly involved in the management of ARFFWG. Nomination forms must be e-mailed no later than June 22, 2025. Please use the attached nomination form. All nominations received by the deadline will be given an opportunity to speak in front of the members at the Annual Symposium. Nominations will not be accepted from the floor. All accepted candidate nomination forms will be posted online for the membership to view. Current Directors up for re-election must file nomination forms.

AWARDS PROGRAM

The ARFF Working Group’s Annual Awards Program was developed to recognize superior achievement in the advancement of aviation fire protection, prevention, operations, equipment, training, management, and media participation. These awards will reflect the consensus of a peer group committee formed from within the membership of the ARFF Working Group, in conjunction with the Board of Directors. The recipients of such awards do not need to be members of the ARFF Working Group.
